Set Apart: A Documentary on Faith and Disability
Donation protected
Hello!
We are Will Aker, Renzo Meza, and Harrison Eid, and we have teamed up together to make a film about cognitive disabilities in the Christian faith.
Between the three of us we have experience in professional video production, formal theological study, vocational ministry, and providing direct support for individuals with cognitive disabilities.
This project is the culmination of all of these passions and experiences, and we want it to have a positive impact on our brothers and sisters with cognitive disabilities. We have seen and personally experienced the need this community faces and we believe the church is uniquely resourced to help.
We have been working for 6 months on this project crafting our vision, doing research and literature reviews, sending a survey to folks in the disabled community, conducting interviews, and more, and we now have our first week of filming scheduled. It is really happening!
For filming we will be traveling to Lexington, Kentucky and we are asking for help to fund our transportation, lodging, and meals so that we can get to work filming and editing the project.
We will have a three-man crew and this $4,200.00 will cover our expenses for the week.
We would be so appreciative if you would donate to this project so we can help raise awareness and support for those who have cognitive disabilities with this project.
Thank you so much!
