Set up a nursery for 150,000 sisal seedlings

. My name is Fon Tangum. One obstacle to lifting rural African communities out of the folds of poverty & suffering is the endemic Agro- Pastoral conflict opposing farmers to herders over limited water resource and pasture caused by prolonged droughts. This conflict is a root cause of poverty, vulnerability and suffering of people across many rural communities especially in west and central Africa. We can solve the problem together

. I have been involved in humanitarian and development work in the last 15 years across rural Africa. I have found a natural solution to this challenge. A life fence of sisal plant around farmlands protects crops from animals and wild fire. Working with a CBO called Bongob Trust, the effectiveness of this plant to rebuilding community peace and social cohesion has been proven in the last 10 years in Cameroon and Mali. Today, I am asking for your support to take this natural solution to 90 communities in 6 most affected African countries.

. We would use your contribution to set up nurseries of 10,000 sisal seedlings each and distribute to farmers to plant around exposed farmlands.
