Seth Christy 10th Memorial BBQ
Donation protected
Seth loved children and for this 10th anniversary BBQ we want to reach our biggest goal ever and help at least three families. We decided to expand to the internet for those that are unable to attend the BBQ. We'll be selling chopped bbq for $8 a pound and anyone in the area is invited to our home for a pig picking on Sat. April 27th at 4:00.
Tabor Evans has suffered all his life with cystic fibrosis. He recently received a lung transplant and is grateful every day that he can breathe deeply, something most of us take for granted. He is trying to raise $40,000 to offset the tremendous costs associated with the transplant and rehab period.
Kira Walker is 5 years old, but spends three days a week in dialysis because her kidney is failing. She suffers from frequent infections and is often in the hospital. Kira's family moved to Snow Camp from TX to be closer to UNC Hospital. They are basically camping in a 5th wheel with no utilities. This family has really touched our hearts.
Kenon McCollum just underwent his second kidney transplant at the age of 11. He is recovering at home and doing well. When children undergo serious medical procedures it affects the whole family. At least one of the parents is taken out of the workforce to be a caregiver. This family has been so generous to others and very hesitant to ask for help for themselves.
