Seth Jenkins Family

My name is Brittany Jenkins. Some of you know us as the owners of Bankrupt Reptiles. We have 4 amazing kids. I’m currently on unpaid leave from my job to be here for Seth and my kids. Back and forth between the hospital and home.

On July 26th Seth was in a motorcycle accident where a van stopped suddenly in front of him. He is in critical condition in trauma icu at Erlanger with massive blood loss, broken pelvis, 2 collapsed lungs with chest tubes and several broken ribs. Working on his second surgery now to get bleeding under control. Also starting dialysis to help kidney function. He has a long road and a lot to over come. Thank you for any help.

UPDATE 7/28- he will have his 3rd abdominal surgery tomorrow. He’s still in critical condition. Hip surgery scheduled for Monday also. They have said we need to expect for him to be in the icu for at least 6 weeks +. Thank you.

UPDATE 8/1- Seth’s 3rd surgery was successful. They were able to close his abdomen. His Orthopedic Surgeon thinks it’s best at this time to go the non surgical roughy for his hip as the blood supply to that area is compromised and will have low chance of healing properly. He is still on a ventilator, dialysis, and still requires chest tubes. He’s more aware and agitated as the days go on. Hoping his lungs improve so I can hear his voice again.

UPDATE 8/14- Seth is becoming less dependent on the ventilator. His kidneys and bowels still aren’t working right now. His blood infection has seemed to be cleared. Now we are battling pneumonia and anxiety. He’s making small steps in progress but still is doing amazing considering what his body has been through. Thank you everyone who us supported u s and prayed for him.
