Seth Severance Emergency Fund - Medical and Family

Hi, I am Jon Kaplan, a friend of the Severance family.

On Saturday, 12/29/23, Seth (Nathanael) Severance was in a car accident. Without getting into too many details, Seth was ejected from the vehicle and had to be airlifted to the hospital due to his injuries, which included a brain bleed, fractured skull, blown eardrum, and multiple lacerations. At this time, it is unknown how long he will remain under hospital care and rehabilitation. As you can imagine, his mom, Brandy, has been by his side every minute possible while still caring for her two younger children.

For those who don't know, Brandy's husband and father of her children was in a fatal car crash several years ago that left her raising four children on her own. The recent event has been very traumatic for her and the rest of the family as it takes them all back to a very painful time. Brandy has been unable to work while caring for not only her children at home but also being by Seth's side at the hospital.

For those of you who know Seth, he is a Lake Travis High School Senior but also works a regular job and helps his mom with his younger siblings. Seth is a kind soul who is always willing to help, never afraid of hard work, and always thinks of his family first. Seth is like a brother to my two sons, and I am willing to bet many other people feel the same way.

We are reaching out to the community in hopes that we can help to alleviate some of the financial burdens so Brandy can concentrate on the recovery of her son, and the wellbeing of her younger children at home.
