Seven Stray Cats Could Use Our Help!

Update from the Humane Society of Louisiana
Courtesy post and emergency appeal: Our dear friend and colleague, Dana Fyre, founder and director of Lapaw Animal Rescue, located in the small town of Sulphur, in Calcasieu Parish, could use a little help.
Like many in the Deep South, Dana's town has few resources to deal with pet overpopulation, especially community cats.
Dana recently had heart surgery and was discharged only a few days ago. As she was home, recovering, her phone kept ringing from people seeking help. The demand for the services of her small humane society is unending.
A resident texted Dana, seeking help for the seven starving and sick cats that showed up at her house. Dana was worried sick by the prospect of their suffering and her inability to assist, so we agreed to help.
We estimated that it would cost at least $200 per cat (a low estimate) to vet and fix each cat, for a total of $1400. We'll match the first $500, so we need to raise at least $900 for this mini-emergency.
If you haven't donated recently, please contribute a little or share. You can also leave a comment for Dana, wishing her a speedy recovery!
Friends, let's give Dana a welcome home gift by helping these seven cats!
