Severe fall to concrete after being electrocuted

Donation protected
Hello to my friends, family, and generally awesome people.

As you may know, I make part of my living decorating homes and businesses. I have worked in that profession for over seven years and love the joy it brings to the community. It is one of my passions, but sometimes our passions can lash out in unforeseen ways.

On December 2nd I was seriously electrocuted and knocked off of a second story ladder onto concrete while hanging Christmas lights. I am now stable, but my injuries include a broken radius in my right arm, a broken thumb on my left hand that required surgery, a broken nose, multiple fractures in my jaw, three broken teeth which will require two crowns and a dental implant, and 12 stiches in my forehead.

I am lucky to be alive.

Unfortunately for me, I did not renew my insurance this year and have to suffer the full brunt of medical bills out of my own pocket. Between the surgeries, the barrage of doctor bills, and the extensive dental work, I can’t afford this. I’m not a rich man. It’s a staggering number and a glaring issue with our healthcare system.

To further complicate the matter, I am unable to work for the immediate future and still have to pay my bills and feed myself. It’s a very humbling position to be in.

I am not one to ask for handouts. I have my pride, and this is a difficult thing for me to do. But today I am asking for your help. Any support you can provide would be appreciated more than you can believe.

I know that it’s hard times for all with the holidays, but crowdfunding works by chipping away at a number bit by bit. Any amount you can donate will seriously make a difference.

I am willing to sell off my landscaping and lighting contracts, as well as a select number of tools if anyone would be interested in transactions of the nature. You can direct message me on Facebook or call me.

Regardless of contribution, I want you all to know that I appreciate you and that it feels really good to be alive, even if that epiphany comes with a mountain of debt.
