Almeida Residence destroyed by Severe Tulsa Storms
Donation protected
Hello, I am Jeff, the brother asking for your help. My sister, Shelley and my sister in law, Bethany's house was damaged to the point that it is "unlivable" by the storms that hit Tulsa, Oklahoma last night.
Thankfully, they and their two dogs, Dolce and Mason, were unharmed as very old, giant cottonwood trees that line their street cracked and crashed through the roof of their home. In what has now been declared a "Severe Weather Event/Damage and Emergency Proclamation" by the Mayor of Tulsa.
Although many are affected, as one of their neighbors said to them "it looks like you got the worst of it."
My sister is going to be interviewed on the local Tulsa news this evening.
I would like Express my family's deep gratitude and a heartfelt "Thank You" to the many Tulsan's who showed up by the truckload with chainsaws in hand ready to help! Your generousity of spirit and kindness has not gone unnoticed.
I am starting this Go Fund Me for them, as they are currently without a home. And both of their cars are still under fallen trees. So they don't even have transportation.
Thankfully, some friends have offered a place to stay. And some other friends came to rescue them and their fur babies since both of their cars are still currently on the property covered in trees.
We can all imagine how devasting and disrupting this sort of loss can be, and I am asking for any and all sized donations to help them re-build and get back on their feet. With all the devastation in and around Tulsa, they are still waiting to hear from their insurance company. And we all know how that goes, and how long that can take.
Even the smallest amount will be put to great use and come with this brother's eternal love and gratitude. Thank you everyone!
Love to you all,
Jeff
