Sevi's Japan 2024 Summer Abroad! Kyoto and Tokyo

Hello!!!

I'm raising money to fund my time this Summer studying abroad with UNO at Doshisha University in Japan! I will be continuing my study in Japanese there (3rd semester), exploring the cities of Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Tokyo (hopefully also Hiroshima/Nagasaki), and working with Tulane's Connolly Alexander Institute for Data Science to create a research project about data visualization practices in Japan versus America.

I can't apply for financial aid because this is through UNO and not Tulane, so I will be completely relying on outside scholarships, grants, and generous donations to pay the costs. Any amount helps!

This trip will help me with my Japanese Minor, give me experience abroad (like my mom!), and prepare me for possible Masters in Library Science/Translation Studies. Probably planning on being a Archivist and/or Video Game Translator.

Costs in the 10k include tuition, housing, textbooks, plane tickets, train passes, food, passport fees, my summer rent while away, and other miscellaneous travel costs.
