Rest in Paradise Sevyn Omari

Hello everyone!! My name is Pamela. I’m coming to you sincerely on behalf of my Cousin Omar and his 4 youngest Children Asaad , Sevyn , Cali & Reign.

On Tuesday August 30, 2022 , All four children and their mother were traveling in a van across Oklahoma to visit family . While stopped at a red light, the van was plowed into from behind and crushed by a semi truck going 60-70 mph according to news reports. 9 month old Reign was ejected from the vehicle & 4 year old Sevyn was crushed. Luckily by the grace of god Cali and Asaad only had minor cuts and bruises. The van was crushed and the photos are devastating. Cali and Asaad were discharged from the hospital September 1, 2022 and will stay with their dad who flew in from Albany on the next flight after hearing the news. They will be staying at The Ronald McDonald house charities Inc.

I set up this page strictly to help this family during this very challenging and difficult time. Dad will be taking care of all four children and will be solely there to aid Reign and Sevyn in their long recovery ahead. As of right now, Sevyn is still very critical and we are taking it one day at a time. We are praying hard and appreciate all the prayers sent our way.

In addition this family needs help getting all of the children home safely once discharged , as well as maintaining their needs while staying in The Ronald McDonald house. Anything you could donate to help this family would be more than appreciated !!! This tragedy has pulled the rug out from under them and as we all know when it rains it pours! The Ronald McDonald house charities Inc. provides shelter and 3 meals a day for $10/day. It’s going to be a long road to recovery for Sevyn and Reign as they continue fighting for their lives in the ICU.

UPDATE 9-7-2022

Sweet Sevyn has passed away! 

Reign is out of surgery and on her way to recovery. She has a long way to go as she has a cast on both legs and on one of her arms with also the looming possibility of long term damage. 

Cali and Asaad are doing well in the care of my cousin Omar; Their Father. He is trying to keep the children occupied and their precious minds busy. He’s taken them to the aquarium, local parks. Holding on to the last days of summer, they enjoyed a pool day at a family friends house. I’ve been told the children are beginning to ask more questions about their brother and we just ask everyone to pray for their emotional health and healing.  

My cousin Omar is trying to stay positive for his children but he is a broken man right now. It is so difficult to be a parent when your heart is shattered but he has been their rock. He refuses to let them down. He has been with Reign every night holding her hand and comforting her with the company of his Mother.  Today is a rough day as we are starting to put together funeral arrangements for our Angel Sevyn.
