Sewing Face Masks - Farmington Valley CT

Donation protected
The Sewing Face Masks - Farmington Valley CT Facebook group was started just a few weeks ago to get people involved in the effort to sew face masks for health care workers and other essential employees during this PPE shortage.     All masks made by this group are donated, not sold, to these individuals and organizations.  The group has quickly grown and is welcoming monetary donations to help purchase needed supplies such as fabric and other sewing essentials.  These supplies will be provided to volunteers to produce the needed masks.

Sew Inspired Quilt Shop in Simsbury, Connecticut has generously offered to support the group by selling fabric and other needed supplies at or below cost, to support the effort.   In addition, for every $150 donated, Sew Inspired will donate an additional 3 yards up to 150 yards.   Any funds raised in excess of the amount needed to purchase materials will be donated to COVID related charities once the need for masks is abated.

Find the group on Facebook or check out the website at www.sewmasksfvct.com.
