Sewing Masks for Tucson

While the United States,  Arizona,  and Tucson do not currently require every person to wear a mask, the use of masks is now being strongly encouraged. The Czech Republic implemented a campaign called #Masks4ALL where the government mandated wearing masks for all citizens from March 18th  with great success.  Today they only have 5000 cases compared to the 112,000 cases in Germany.  We hope that this catches on to limit the spread of the virus.  According to the CDC, fabric masks are a crisis response option when other supplies have been exhausted. 

Given the shortage experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic,  our mission is to make cotton masks to help Tucson-based health care workers, first responders, and those providing vital services to our community.  Our goals are to offer an alternative to medical masks when a facility can no longer obtain them or needs a means to increase the efficiency of the N95s.

ALL MASKS ARE DONATED!  We do not charge for masks because there are multiple healthcare facilities and organizations that are currently requiring our mask donations. The demand for homemade masks is too overwhelming and we are struggling daily to provide more materials for our seamstresses. 

We are accepting monetary donations to help pay for supplies. All money not spent on supplies at the end of this pandemic will be donated to help healthcare workers and local communities impacted by COVID-19.
