Help Nicholas McLamb Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
The McLamb family needs your help. Nick and Christina were shocked with horrible news this week. On Tuesday, October 20th, 2020; Nick was admitted to the hospital with stomach pains and a fever. Over the following days he was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer which has already spread to a large tumor on his liver. His medical team is working to complete the diagnosis but we are still awaiting the treatment plan and future outlook. Colon cancer is a highly aggressive form of cancer which can require years of treatment. It is the second deadliest form of cancer and the third leading cause of cancer death in young adults. The predicted five year survival rate for this stage of colon cancer is 30-40% and drops to around 25% at ten years.Nick and Christina have four children; Gideon (age 8), Evelyn (6), Katherine (5), and Rowan (3). They recently moved to a homestead where they are raising farm animals and tending their land. Living on a homestead requires daily maintenance and chores requiring a lot of time and hard work. Off the farm, Nick is the sole financial provider for the family as his wife, Christina, stays home caring for and educating their four children while supporting the farm. It is unknown whether Nick will be able to continue working while undergoing treatment, but it is very unlikely. The McLambs need your help in paying for their everyday necessities; groceries, toiletries, animal feed, mortgage, etc. In addition, they will need funds for the medical bills and legal fees as they set their will and apply for disability. The family also needs assistance for the day-to-day work that Nick was supporting in maintaining the homestead especially as he enters treatment which will require changes to their home and life. And in the light of the low survival rate they are also preparing for the possibility that he will not be around in the years to come, planning for their future and that of their children also requires assistance. We need your help. Any financial assistance you can give or donations of time assisting on the homestead would make a world of difference as this family struggles through this life changing time. Please consider donating anything that you can. Any amount will help.If you would prefer not to donate through this platform, the family is also accepting donations through Venmo (@mclambfamily-8287).https://youtu.be/UQsjOhGk8aw
