SGT JOSHUA DESFORGES

I’m raising money for my good friend’s foundation/scholarship fund, Sgt Joshua Desforges.  I met Josh while I lived in Kingsbay, GA over 10 years ago.  Shared way too many good and bad times with this guy and cooked him countless meals.   (He could EAT!)  Threw around some weights in the gym together, shared laughs, serious conversations, and tons of memories.  But my most fondest memory is him strutting around the gym in his classic Reebok’s and fanny pack screaming, LIGHT WEIGHT BABY!!!  His smile will live on forever in my heart. He  was killed in action in Marjah, Afghanistan May 12, 2010.  He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and was a part of 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, ll Marine Expeditionary Force out of Camp Lejuene, NC.   He was taken from this earth way too soon. His infectious smile, outrageous personality, passion for life, the Corps,  and style will forever stay with me. I’m lucky to have had time with him and am honored to designate my upcoming race, in Jordan, to him, his family and scholarship fund.  This money will directly support kids in a Josh’s home town, Ludlow, Massachusetts go to college and pursue their dreams just like Josh did, by joining the Marine Corps.  Please donate and help support the scholarship fund so more dreams can come true.
