Sgt. Paul Brown Memorial Scholarship

• The Sergeant Paul Brown Memorial Scholarship, "Top Shot", will be awarded to the cadet that completes the academy and who excelled in the firearms portion of the academy. Paul, who was a graduate of the Fresno City College Police Academy,  Class#49 and served the Fresno Police Department for 28 years. Sgt. Brown was passionate about training. As part of his career with the department, he oversaw the operation of the range and was part of the training unit. He was also a member of SWAT for over 10 years. The Brown family created this scholarship in his honor.

• In his personal life he and his wife Lori enjoyed 31 years of marriage. He was a loving father to his three children Garrett, Kaleb and Jerrica. Paul was happy to welcome Garrett’s wife Rainie into the Brown family and was thrilled to become a grandpa to Ace Brown. He was a coach and mentor to many on the field and at work. Paul lived his life according to his Faith in Christ and loved to share the Word to those around him. Sports, horseback riding and leather crafting were some of his favorite hobbies. He loved to learn and challenge himself. The Brown Family is thankful for the sacrifices he made for his family, friends and community.
