Ryan has been courageously battling cancer for over five years. He was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Larynx. What started as cancer in his neck has now metastasized to five places around his body including his spine, ribs, hip and lymph nodes. The Pipers need all the prayers in the world and your help. Money raised will be used for continued transportation to and from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for treatments and unreimbursed co-pays.

Ryan has been a police officer in Minnetonka for over 24 years and worked in a variety of assignments including patrol officer, canine handler, narcotics detective and sergeant. He goes to work every day with pride & honor serving the Minnetonka and surrounding communities. His wife Morgan is a police detective with the Edina Police Department. They are a humble family of public service.

Their children Avery & Jack are active in sports including hockey. Despite Ryan's prognosis, he laces up his coaching skates to join his kids on the ice while enduring the pain and agony of invasive cancer treatments.
