Sgt. Yordan Labrada Funeral Fundraiser

On March 6, 2021, we lost a Marine combat veteran, Sgt. Yordan A. Labrada, who served with 3rd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment, Lima Company and Scout Sniper Platoon from 2004 to 2012. He deployed with 3/8 as an infantry rifleman and sniper to Fallujah in 2005, Ramadi in 2006, 22nd MEU, and Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2011. On March 6, he passed away abroad in an accident, leaving behind his loving wife and two kids. Our charity (3/8 OIF & OEF Veterans) is in contact with his family and is assisting them with funeral costs. Please donate to help the Labrada family during this challenging time.

 ALL donations will go to assist Yordan’s family and his kids. Donations are being raised through 3/8 OIF & OEF Veterans, 501(c)3 Non-Profit, and all donors will receive a tax write-off receipt.



About Yordan:

Sgt. Yordanys A. Labrada – June 13, 1980 – March 6, 2021

40, of North Port, FL; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Lima Company and Scout Sniper Platoon, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; passed away in an accident. Yordan joined US Marine Corps in 2004 and served as a 0311 Infantry Rifleman, assigned to 3/8 Lima Company. In 2005 he deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, and then again Ramadi, Iraq, in 2006 to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. After he returned from Ramadi, Yordan joined the Scout Sniper Platoon and deployed on the 22nd MEU. In 2011, Yordan deployed for the 4th time to Helmand, Afghanistan, where he received a Purple Heart. After 8 years of service, he left active duty in 2012. Yordan passed away on March 6, 2021, in an accident. He is survived by his wife Barbara and their two kids.

Many Post-9/11 veterans are still suffering from physical, mental, and emotional wounds such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). We want to ensure that they have the resources they need to recover from their injuries and transition back to their civilian lives.
