SgtMaj Canley Medal of Honor

I have opened a Go Fund Me page looking to cover flight, hotel and other expenses for the Gold Star Mother of Medal of Honor Recipient Sgt Alfredo Gonzalez (who was KIA on 4 February 1968 in Hue City, Viet Nam) and her travel companion.  They will be attending the Medal of Honor Ceremony next week in Washington, DC for a Marine who served with her son, SgtMaj John L Canley who will also be awarded the Medal at the White House on Wednesday 17 October.  Both fought in the battle of Hue City, Viet Nam in February of 1968.

I have made Hotel and Flights reservations for both and it totaled $2,500.  We are also looking to cover the cost of a reception room and any other incidental expenses.  Any remaining funds will be donated to the Semper Fi Fund.  https://semperfifund.org
