Helping Jonathan's Recovery
Donation protected
Sunday evening, April 19th, Jonathan Griffin was riding his bicycle home from the store, and was the victim of a hit-and-run collision with a car (thought to possibly be a drunk driver). He was thrown from his bicycle and suffered immediate and severe head injuries.
For you search-engine types, his diagnoses at this point is called Extradural Hematoma Pneumocephalus. He is in a lot of pain, is confused about what happened, and struggling with disorientation.
Now, after several days and nights in the intensive care unit, and a transfer to another local hospital with a stronger neurological unit, we know that Jon is expected to make a full recovery without surgery... but the road back to "normal" will be long and tough.
Contributions here, in any amounts, will help ease the financial burdens of:
1. Medical Care: insurance deductible / copay, hospital bills, and eventual therapies and other rehab costs.
2. Regular Expenses: Jonathan's rent, utilities and other bills will not go away just because he is in the hospital. These are already accumulating during this time when Jon is unable to work. Jon does not qualify for short-term disability so has no source of income.
3. Mama Candace's travel and incidental expenses on her indefinite trip to California to be with her son.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, thoughts, and messages of support for Jonathan and his family and friends.
