Shadeeah's Funeral Costs & Fatima's Recovery Costs

Our family is devastated and heart broken by the murder of Shadeeah Melton and the attempted murder of Fatima Jefferson. Shadeeah was a loving daughter, niece, sister, aunt and friend. She was the rock of the family; with her hard working and go-getting nature. She had a tremendous drive and a resourceful spirit that made her the person to call in times of need. It was this drive that led her to be an accomplished basketball player, and a graduate from The University of Cincinnati, with a degree in Communications and a minor in African American Studies. She later obtained a career as Hospital Administer in the Urgent Care Department at Kaiser Permanente Hospital.

Shadeeah was tragically gun down while defending her sister, Fatima Jefferson on Friday, May 22nd. Fatima Jefferson was also critically injured after being shot 6 times. Our family is crushed. Shadeeah's life was taken before she was able to start it and Fatima has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Shadeeah had no children nor husband but she put her family and loved ones before everything. We are staying prayerful during this tremendous loss and we are working to find peace in knowing that Shadeeah is resting easy.

Fatima is currently in the hospital fighting through recovery. Before this grave incident, Fatima was set to graduate from Paul Mitchell Esani School for Estheticians in August 2020 and had a position waiting for her in a spa. Her plans of bettering herself, through her passion for skin care have been derailed.  She will need a great deal of resources and support for her physical, mental and spiritual well being, as a result of this grave incident.

The family would greatly appreciate your financial support for the funeral expenses of Shadeeah Melton, the medical bills and recovery costs for Fatima Jefferson and the legal fees for bringing justice to the accused killers.
