Shadow's medical costs

Hi, my name is Teresa. I am starting this gofundme page for my boyfriend Julian's sweet boy, Shadow. Shadow is a 7.5-year-old chocolate lab/boxer mix. He is the friendliest and most loveable family dog. Shadow is the world's best cuddler, the biggest foodie, and loves to explore the outdoors. Looks are deceiving with Shadow because although he may look intimidating, he is the biggest sweetheart. This past week, Shadow was suddenly not feeling himself and after an emergency visit to his vet, he was immediately rushed to the ER. Sadly, he was diagnosed with a large mass on his spleen which was found to be cancerous. The mass had burst and caused internal bleeding. Luckily, Julian was able to get him the care he desperately needed, as every passing minute counted. The surgery that Shadow underwent came with some complications. As he developed a heart arrhythmia and had to stay under medical care for longer than expected. Fortunately, the spleen was removed without damage to any other organs. We are extremely grateful that the surgery went well and that he has returned home after 5 days. Shadow is currently on medication for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, the medical bills are extreme and create a financial burden on Julian.

Everything that is donated will be used to cover the outstanding medical bill, medications, and ongoing treatment.

We are praying the the biospy comes back cancer free and that he is in the clear.
