Shad’s Medical Bills & Recovery

My name is Emilee. Shad Greenwell has been a close friend to my family and I for over 10 years now. He was in a tragic accident Tuesday and while he is miraculously alive and thankfully still here with us, he has a LONG journey of medical recovery ahead.

 

Here is a note from his mom, Shirley detailing what happened:

 

‘Shad was in a freak accident where a part he was removing from a dump truck broke and flung around, shoved his head and right arm under the dump truck as it fell and pinned him to the lift. He was life flighted to OSU Wexner SICU. His face is crushed. His arm is broken. He has 3 surgeries today. Surgery Friday depends on today’s recovery. He will wake with jaw wired shut and a tracheotomy. Shad is self-employed. He will not be able to fulfill work obligations for months ahead. He still has monthly bills. He is creating an astronomical hospital tab. You can help this man who has helped countless people. You can make a difference. As his mom mentioned, he is self-employed and will have so many medical bills coming off of this experience. He will also have a long and hard recovery. If you know Shad personally then you have probably heard about or experienced his huge heart and the way that he literally lives his life to serve others. He would give the shirt off his back for others and has poured hours and hours into serving anyone and everyone outside of himself. The thought of him being in this pain and financial situation has me wanting to do anything I can to help.
