SHAKA in Honor of Kaylee Eddy

Funds raised will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in honor of our fellow officer and friend, Kaylee Eddy. In mid-October, Kaylee was diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer. Within 3 days of her diagnosis, Kaylee was in Memphis, TN at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital undergoing surgery and 33 subsequent radiation treatments. Kaylee returned home several days before the Holidays. When we started planning our SHAKA event in August, we had no idea it would take on such personal significance for our Leadership family.

St. Jude's provides medical services, housing, travel, food, etc. to their patients, which results in zero charges to the family. Union High School Leadership felt their SHAKA week philanthropy should go to an outstanding charity like St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
