
Shakespeare Walk Adventure Playground (SWAPA)
Hello Friends of SWAPA,
SWAPA is a fantastic adventure playground that caters for children & young people aged 6-15 years old located in Stoke Newington London Borough of Hackney, the oldest traditional adventure playgrounds were first introduced as a post-war effort to create safe and enriching environments for children to explore and build their own play space & keep the fantastic memories and history throughout the playground, strongly believes in facilitating child-led/ child centred play our play provision is completely free of charge to all our services users.
SWAPA has put on small events for the children for the following Halloween, Easter, Christmas Jumper day & provide meals for the community as a way to say thank you for all their support and it gives the children and young people the opportunity to show off their creative and artistic skills through arts & creative or costumes playwork principle’s & challenging risks in play is considered in every session that is provided in term time and half-term
Your donations will go towards:
Residential/ Day trips
Art therapy sessions
Bikes for children/ young people
Sessions for young people e.g., self-defence /awareness courses
Laptops/iPad
Security/ adaptions for the playground
