Shalaya’s Recovery from 14 Gunshots

My name is Kate Malone and I am fundraising for Shalaya (LayLay) Green. Shalaya was a student in my 5th grade class. She recently was shot 14 times in an incident she had no involvement in. The shooter did not know her and thought she was someone else.

Shalaya is the kindest, sweetest young lady. No one deserves this but she especially did not deserve this. Shalaya has always been determined. Even with 14 gunshot wounds, she called me this morning smiling in high spirits. She is determined to fight.

Shalaya will have a long road to recovery. All donations will go to her. As she recovers, one thing she doesn’t need to worry about is money. She needs to be able to focus all her energy and strength on getting better.
