Help Shalin with living expenses while she heals
Donation protected
Our fantastic friend Shalin was involved in an accident on September 18th, which resulted in her breaking her leg in two areas. Shalin's independence has been taken away from this injury, and she cannot work for the foreseeable future. Shalin is self-employed, works part-time in hospitality and basically works 7 days a week. She lives alone as well, so any donation is greatly appreciated.
After over a week in the hospital, she is finally home with her beloved cats. This is going to be a huge adjustment to her daily life for the next three months.
Let's all donate what we can so our friend, who would do anything for us, can take this time to focus on healing and not worry about how she will pay her living expenses and the countless cabs and Ubers she will need to get around the city.
Shalin's diagnosis:
-severely fractured her tibia and fibula
-was told 3-5 days in the hospital but was there for nine due to medical concerns, not because of her leg.
-hospital stay total: 9 days
-had to get surgery. They inserted a rod through the back of her knee with screws securing it in place, which has caused a lot of pain in her knee and ankle. Making recovering more difficult for her
-mobility issues
