Greetings to all, I find myself in a trying situation. It is not within my nature to request assistance, as my pride can be a downfall. To suffer alone is preferable, but self-reflection and contemplation has revealed a new outlook. It is necessary to shed personal pride in order to achieve life-altering alterations. After much prayer and the request for signs from the divine, these indications presented themselves through an old acquaintance. They suggested creating a GoFundMe, so here I am, thus endeavoring to accomplish this. I am not a model, as my photograph is not for the sake of admiration - it represents who I am. On the 26th of May, 2020, I was involved in an accident. I was hit by a truck on a scooter after leaving work at 4:00am. Death was nearly my fate, but through the grace of God, I survived. Although there were trying times, I am grateful to be alive and in health at this point. My spine took the brunt of the impact of the accident, leaving me with paralysis from above the belly button down. This incident occurred during the covid apocalypse, as I like to refer to it. Though it was a time to take seriously, I try to find humor in everything. Although I had never undergone physical therapy until 2022, I persevered for four months before it was ceased. I can go on and on regarding all that I have endured, but it has been a learning experience. Yet still, I now seek assistance in rebuilding my life and regaining independence, for most establishments are not willing to accept individuals in my condition, and the cost of the few that are private is astronomical, to say the least. As a father of two, I am endeavoring to better the situation for myself, primarily, so that I can continue to be present for them.
