Shana and Mitch's Fire Recovery

Donation protected
At 3:30 p.m. on April 7, Shana and Mitch’s home at 166 Cedar Hill Avenue in Nyack was destroyed in a devastating fire. We, the friends and family of Shana, Mitch and Maisie, are grateful that everyone escaped without serious injury.

If you know Shana and Mitch, then you have been touched by their ability to build community wherever they go, from the boardroom to the classroom, from the art studio to parent playgroups, from the suburbs to the playa. This GoFundMe will help them begin to rebuild, as they face the daunting task of replacing all of their possessions.

We are thankful to first responders from Nyack, Valley Cottage and Piedmont Fire Departments, as well as Orangetown and South Nyack police. Our gratitude goes out to the Nyack Ambulance Corps and Rockland County Paramedics.

The fire broke out less than eight hours ago. We will update you with specific needs, donation collection details and requested assistance as soon as we can. Tomorrow morning we want them to wake up and know, they are not alone. It's a new day, and they have our help. Please consider giving. Thank you.
