Shane Brown’s Head Banger Fundraiser
For those of you who already know and those who don’t know, Shane suffered a severe head injury on June, 28 from a skateboarding accident and was flown up to Anchorage for surgery to have a 4”x4” piece of his skull cut out to relieve the pressure from his brain swelling.
The doctors in Juneau held my hand and told me that Shane was in a bad way and probably won’t live from his injury. Shane’s neurosurgeon who operated on him In Anchorage told me that if he didn't show up to Anchorage for surgery when he did, he would have died. Also, for as well as he is recovering is an absolute miracle that his brain didn’t continue to swell after the bone flap was removed from his skull.
Shane definitely had and still has all the doctors and nurses amazed on how well he is doing considering the doctors between Juneau and Anchorage said he wasn’t going to live. It has been almost a month since his injury which reallyput the hurts to his financial situation with anyand all expenses towards life and living. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated at thistime as he is still in Anchorage awaiting his next surgery to put the bone flap back into his skull and on the road to recovery.
Please feel free to share this to help bring in some funds for my brother during his recovery. There’s no telling how long of a recovery he is looking at, but it’s a miracle he lived to tell the tale! He sure had us all scared for a couple weeks during his time in the Critical Care Unit at the Alaska Native Medical Center. He is a walking miracle and this challenge in life isn’t over yet! This test of endurance has just begun! Muchlove and God bless to all!
