Ryan and Shane Martin

Early Thursday morning we received a phone call that Ryan, the father of Shane, Jonah and Karah was in the Homer emergency room. He was found unresponsive and was taken to the emergency room where they found a very large brain bleed. He was medivaced to Anchorage where he underwent emergency brain surgery. His future is unknown at this time. He is stable but in a coma. His family and kids all rushed to Anchorage to be by his side. It is unknown how long they will need to reside in Anchorage. Ryan has no medical insurance and the bills are piling high fast. Kristen will be solely financially responsible for the 3 kids they share together. She is currently in Anchorage to support the kids during this time. She has been unable to return to work since Shane’s accident last week. They are very greatful for all the help they recieved after Shane’s accident, little did they know days later they would be facing another tragedy. We ask everyone firstly, please pray, send good juju or whatever you can so these 3 kids have a chance to get their dad back. Any help would be extremely appreciated and used for continuing time in Anchorage, medical bills for Ryan and Shane. As well as keeping bills paid at home while Kristen is unable to work.

Thursday evening 19 year old Shane, son of Kristen Gould was out riding his ATV on the beach and rolled. He was taken to South Peninsula Hospital and was diagnosed with 2 fractures to his back, one at T3 and the other at L3. Shane was a Homer High 2022 graduate and works full time at Fortune Marine. Unfortunately, he has no Health insurance and at this time it is unknown what future medical bills will be. He will see Dr Adcox on Wednesday for further evaluation and plans for his recovery. He could be looking at a minimum of 4-6 months of rehabilitation. His mom works full time locally to provide for Shane’s two younger siblings and will be unable to work in order to care for him during his recovery.
