Shanelle’s road to recovery
Donation protected
On May 22, 2023 Shanelle Anderson woke up and started to get ready for her day. She had recently accepted a new position at a hospital and it was her first day at her new job. A few weeks prior, she had started experiencing headaches with increasing intensity. That morning, while she was getting ready to go to work, she was not feeling well and realized that she needed to get to the Emergency Room. The doctors told Shanelle that she needed to have imaging done right away. After her MRI, she learned there was a large mass in the frontal lobe of her brain. She was then transported to Georgtown Hospital and doctors planned to do surgery to remove her tumor. She underwent brain surgery on Friday May 26th. They believe they removed all of her tumor. Her siblings and loved ones are awaiting her pathology reports to learn the next steps for Shanelle's recovery.
Shanelle is a single mom with a special needs son. She has always had steady employment and worked very hard to get toward financial stability, especially to support her son. Due to these unforeseen circumstances, Shanelle is currently unemployed. We are hoping to raise enough funds for her medical and living expenses to ease the burden on her so she can focus on getting herself well.
Many of you have reached out for a way to help Shanelle and her son Jaxson (6) during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Please think of Shanelle and her family as they await her pathology report.
100% of these funds will go directly to Shanelle.
A little about Shanelle:
If you know her, you know her son is her world. She is an avid animal lover who loves good dog nose. She loves Halloween and is always looking forward to the next one. Her laughter and smile are contagious and you never know what is going to come out of mouth next. Her mom, whom she misses everyday and was her best friend, sadly passed away in 2017 to lung cancer.
