Hi, my name is Shane, and I'm starting over after escaping Scientology.

I was born and raised in Scientology. From an early age, my life was controlled by a system that demanded complete obedience and left no room for being a child. I wasn’t treated with care—I was treated like an adult in trouble. At 11, I was recruited into the Sea Org, Scientology’s militant workforce. I worked long hours, was separated from my family, and lived under extreme pressure and control.

When I left, I was labeled a “freeloader” and a “degraded being.” I lost my support system overnight and was left to figure life out completely on my own.

Since then, I’ve faced homelessness, deep emotional scars, and the challenge of rebuilding my life from the ground up. But I’ve never stopped fighting.

Today, I’m focused on healing and building a better future. I’m writing a memoir to share my story and shed light on what happens behind the curtain of Scientology. I’m also launching a small clothing brand to support myself financially and creatively. I have the vision and the drive—but I need a little help to get there.
