Shanes Retirement Fund

Shane Sparrowhawk started working as a Prison Officer on 23/1/1989, at the Staff College in Watsonia. Shane then went to D Division in Metropolitan Reception Prison (part of the Pentridge complex) then moved to the MAP. Shane worked everywhere as a PO & SPO. Shane then transferred to the MRC for 2 years as Acting Supervisor.

Shane just couldn’t crack the interview to become gazetted and eventually came back to MAP as an SPO and got sick with a heart condition. Shane's condition has continued to deteriorate and has finally decided to hang up the boots after 34 years of service.

Shane is well respected by his peers so we're looking to raise some money to say thank you to Shane for his years of service and show our appreciation for the work he has done for us at the MAP and MRC over the years.
