Road To Recovery For Shane Wright

Donation protected
Shane was in a serious motorcycle accident while he was on his way into work on the morning of Friday, May 21st . The accident was caused by another driver, who made an erratic stop and caused a multi-car pile-up. Shane was forced to drive onto a shoulder to avoid a collision and was thrown 15 feet into a guard rail. He was saved from death by a Simpson brand Full-Face helmet. He suffered multiple injuries including: a shattered scapula, broken clavicle, multiple broken ribs and a lung contusion. He will need to undergo surgery and physical therapy in the next several weeks with the hope of regaining function back in his arm and shoulder.

With these injuries he will be out of work for an extended period of time. Our goal is to raise money to assist him with medical expenses and loss of income related to his hospital stay, future surgery, and rehabilitation since he does not have disability insurance. He was unable to continue paying for his disability insurance following a significant loss of income from the Covid-19 restrictions.

Shane is a beloved son, brother, fiancé and friend! He is a barber for US Male and runs the Kirkwood Highway barber shop in Newark, DE. Shane goes out of his way to make people feel noticed and has a kindness that touches others wherever he goes.

Our family is so grateful and humbled by the outpour of love and support over the last few days from friends and loved ones! If you have the ability to donate, we would be so grateful for your generosity. As Shane continues to move toward regaining his strength and mobility, we would love your continued prayer and support.
