In memoriam of Fred Sherman Jr for Shani Sherman

update: Thank you all so much for your help, love and support of Freddy’s wife, Shani. She is still having such a hard time coping with the loss of her 57 yr old beloved husband of over 20 years. To add to her stress- the removal of his disability income and no help for his disabled widow is just unbelievable. Every dollar will assist her with surmounting bills and rent. We love you all.

My name is Patty and on May 22, 2023 we lost my brother, Fred Sherman to pneumonia. Fred had been sick for years with multiple strokes and diabetes and his wife, Shani, was his primary caretaker. Her health is not good either but she never wanted him to go to a nursing home. Instead she wanted to honor his wish to be at home. He was only 57 years old. Fred was a light in our lives, always smiling and staying positive, even though he was very ill. His family was the most important to him. Fred leaves behind Shani, his daughters and step son. He adored his family and would be so very upset to know that the government has taken away his disability and Shani is now left with only a small monthly disability of her own. Fred’s elderly parents have helped with the funeral and celebration of life but Shani is left with unbelievable bills, rent and trying to make it on a very small income. Many family and friends have asked how they can help after hearing of Fred’s passing.
