To help Shanika’s Father through MI( Heart attack)

The parents of my friend Shanika Adhikari visited them in Guelph immediately after the birth of the second baby. Her 76-year-old father A A Wijepala suddenly suffered from chest pain on 05th of April 2023. He had no previous medical history. He was admitted to the Guelph General Hospital and diagnosed with Myocardial Infarction and was transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener for Angiogram and PTCA. He ended up having two stents and serious complications due to a massive amount of blockage. Currently, he is slowly recovering at the Guelph General Hospital.

Though he had medical insurance cover with a limit of $25000 medical expenses are likely to be around $50000. Shanika Adhikari is a Registered Nurse working at long-term care in Guelph with her husband and 2 children and is finding it difficult to pay the balance of medical expenses over $25000.

I am Subashini Chathurika Suraweera a Registered Nurse currently working in a long-term care in Brantford a close friend of Shanika for over 20 years trying to help her to find meet the medical bill. Since it is a sizeable amount I am appealing for public help to help Shanika to manage the medical expenditure of her beloved father.
