Shanna’s Story
Donation protected
Shanna Barone, a mother of three, from Carrington North Dakota has been struck by unforseen misfortunes. Over the past few weeks, Shanna started experiencing severe headaches accompanied by nausea and vomiting, which drastically impacted her ability to work, and perform day to day tasks. On September 19th, her son, Grant, found Shanna in her bed lethargic, and not able to get up. Shanna was rushed to Carrington Medical Center for evaluation.
Imaging results showed two brain lesions, with significant cerebral edema (swelling). This led to Shanna being life flighted to Sanford in Fargo where she underwent an emergent craniotomy to resect a part of the largest mass.
The mass was found to be malignant. Shanna is currently intubated and sedated and awaiting another tumor resection surgery when the brain swelling goes down. Once she has recovered from surgeries, her fight with cancer will begin.
Shanna is a beautiful, kind and caring person. She is always first in line to help others. If you feel moved to help, please consider donating to help Shanna with her medical expenses and to help cover cost of living .
