Four Shannon Airport employees will embark on an 800 km cycle to four Irish airports,  raising much needed funds for cancer research and suicide prevention.

Throughout 2019,  Shannon Group entities, Shannon Airport, Shannon Heritage and Shannon Commercial Properties are focusing their fundraising efforts on Limerick Suicide Watch and The Irish Cancer Society.

Director of Operations, Niall Maloney, Chief Fire Officer, Pat O'Brien, Commercial's Loretto Duggan and Airport Police and Fire officer, Joe Noonan are planning to take on board a unique and innovative four airport cycling relay challenge to raise a minimum €20,000 for these two vital causes.

The experienced cyclists plan to hit the road from Shannon Airport, peddling their way to Ireland West Airport, from there  to Dublin Airport, back towards Cork Airport and finally returning to Shannon.

The team are setting off on the 9th September and will cover a whopping  787 kms over a four day period.

We will be keeping you updated about the teams journey, so please visit the page often and share with your friends!

We would love to hear from our donors too , so if you have donated please use the hashtags #shannonairport #4airportcharitycycle on social media, to show your support!
