Shannon and Madi: One healing step at a time

Hi, my name is Darla, and I'm organizing this fundraiser to help an amazing friend of mine and her daughter. Madi is a vibrant and active 9th grader who attends school with my children. She plays basketball, runs track, and plays volleyball. She is a friend to everyone she meets.

Madi was recently diagnosed with a 19mm mass on her pituitary gland. This mass must be removed surgically by a neurosurgeon in Houston.

Madison is blessed to be surrounded by an impressive team of doctors at MD Anderson, including world renowned pediatric endocrinology specialist Dr. Waguespack and nuerosurgeon Dr. McCutcheon.

Though she is in the best hands, her recovery will be extensive, and her family needs community, church, and school support during this time.

Madi's mom, Shannon is a self-employed single mother. She coaches our track team at King's Academy Christian School, teaches Zumba and CrossFit, helps numerous people with her specialty in trauma-based yoga, and loves on all the kids and people placed in her path.

The financial impact of this medical need is real and overwhelming to a mom trying to be all things to all people. We are fully confident that God will provide all that Shannon and Madi need during this time, and moving forward. God uses US...he uses YOU, to be the hands and feet of Jesus by helping those around us who are brave enough to ask for help.
