Shannon (a mom, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend) has been tested every year for cancer since it runs in her family. In December last year, they found something that warranted a double mastectomy. Her Mom and other family members have also gone through this.

Shannon's next phase is chemotherapy which will be once a week starting Jan 30 through May. The harsh side effects of intravenous chemotherapy experiences are unique. They are cumulative and they get worse with each cycle.

Since the diagnosis, some of Shannon’s work friends donated their vacation days to enable her to take the time needed before and after the mastectomy. Medical insurance covers most of the cost however, she is now running out of ‘work time off.’ We are hoping to raise money, so she won’t have to worry as she goes through the Chemo. All funds raised will go directly to any medical costs and anything else she needs while recovering.
