Shannon Haas' Road to Recovery
Donation protected
My strong mom, Shannon Haas was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 15th. Since then she has had a lumpectomy to remove the tumor. Luckily, now she is cancer free. Her awesome team of doctors & nurses gave her a choice of doing radiation, with the risk of the cancer coming back, or a double mastectomy. My mom weighed out her options between the two and decided to go the surgery route. Her first surgery is on Tuesday, May 7, where she will travel to Stanford for a reduction. After she fully heals , she will return back to Stanford for a double mastectomy and reconstruction on the same day. My amazing mom is so strong and takes such great care of my brother and I each and every day. We do not expect any donations, but they would be greatly appreciated due to traveling to Stanford. The cost of co pays and other travel expenses can add up. Any help would be greatly appreciated during this time. There is also a meal train for two weeks after the surgery if you’d like to contribute in that way as well, which will be linked. Thank you all for your generosity and love as my mom, and our family, goes through this journey.
