Help Shannon, Jeremy and Claribel after their loss

Dear friends and family,

Just about a week ago, tragedy struck some of our favorite people on the planet. And when I say our favorite people, I truly mean it. These three have captured the hearts of everyone they have ever met.

While Shannon, Jeremy and Claribel were away from home, the furnace in their building caught fire, and within just a few hours it destroyed their home, and most tragically took the lives of their beloved pets, Beezle and Keller. They have been on the fence about creating a fundraising event, because as Shannon herself put it, all she wants is their pets back.

However, the road ahead is long and starting from scratch in the Bay area is a daunting task. Although they had renters insurance, the payout will not even come close to covering the costs of moving and replacing what was lost, as nothing was salvageable (with the remarkable exception of some old family photographs and heirlooms!). Any little donation can help them with anything and everything, from the securing of new housing, purchasing new clothes, toys, furniture and so forth. Not to mention all the little and big things whose loss will be realized as time continues to unfold.

This has been such an overwhelming experience for Shannon and Jeremy, the gravity of the situation makes us all thankful for what we have and those we love. It is really hard for us being so far away and this was the only way I could think of to help them.
