Shannon Potts, Falcon Potts-Hickey and family

 

Your generosity and help are needed by Shannon Potts, a longtime (38 years) resident of Oak Hill. Fire tore through Shannon's home on Silvermine Road on Monday, March 28th. Fortunately, no one was home and no one was hurt. The house may look ok from the street. But, it is totally unlivable. A video showing the inside of the home is attached. Shannon's Ebay business inventory, furniture, home goods, clothes, everything were ruined. Shannon does have insurance, but it is limited and there are many upfront costs, which insurance does not cover.

 

Cash and Housing are the immediate needs. Along with cash, an inexpensive garage apartment or small place in the Oak Hill or surrounding area are needed. Right now Shannon is in the midst of dealing with adjusters, vetting contractors, and making tough decisions while also dealing with the loss of her home, her possessions, and her source of income. She needs both positive thoughts and tangible help at this time. Meals, clothing, household items and furnishings, etc will all be needed after housing is secured and Shannon is able to start rebuilding her Ebay business.

 

Going back into the nineties, many may remember the Potts-Hickey family (Shannon, Eddie, Falcon, and Ty) as vital members of the Austin Waldorf Community or you benefited from Shannon as your yoga instructor. Shannon has always been there to offer positive thoughts and support to others. Now, she is the one in need. Please take a moment to be thankful for all you have and then take a moment to help her.
