Hello Friends and Family,
Shannon turned 42 in January, surrounded by loved ones on his property in Texas. Recently he was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer stage 2C/3 spreading throughout his body and near his heart. The cancer has been noted as aggresive with a treatment plan to begin on May 14th.
After reviewing many options; his best alternative for healing includes 4 rounds of chemotherapy. Once deductible is met his health insurance will cover treatment expenses. This 3 month process will completely disrupt his ability to work as a commercial diver, providing for his wife Amanda and children Scarlett (9) and Aage (6). Your generous donations will help provide treatment to build his body back up in-between chemo rounds, household bills & expenses and insurance costs.
In order for him to focus on healing throughout the treatment and during recovery, Shannon will require both the love and support of his family and friends; especially the financial support and generosity of his extended community.
Shannon and his family are an inspiration to their community. Despite the challenging situation; the Hovey's remain optimistic and full of love and gratitude. Shannon is a man of many talents guided by his heart giving graciously in-between his diving assignments; building, sound engineering, mentoring and facilitating.
