Shannon Heinze's Medical Campaign

Life is not always what we expect it to be and in a moments time it can all change. Thanksgiving  is about spending time with family and being Thankful for all that we have. Yet, in a moments time the laughter during a celebration can turn into fears and tears.

My brother Shannon's story begins shortly after dinner as he was visiting with his wife Heather and sister-in-law  Deena.  He began speaking in jibberish and within a few minutes his left facial features were drooping and he fell to his left side.   Immediately 911 was called.  My brother Shannon had a massive stroke at 51 years of age with paralysis.

That evening Shannon went into surgery with hopes the Doctors could remove the blood clot from his brain.  The removal of the blood clot was unsuccessful.   On Saturday, as a result of the first surgery,  Shannon was enduring swelling to his brain and now needed a second surgery to remove a portion of his skull to help relieve pressure.

Shannon has a long road ahead of him.  As of right now, his hospital care team is expecting three months of hospital care with a good six months to a year for rehabilitation for his left side due to some paralysis.

Shannon is a small business owner that employees him self as well as his son James as his right hand man.  Now, not  being able to help with the business all of it will fall onto James' shoulders to help keep it afloat.  This business was enough to pay them a salary and did not allow extra funds in their checking accounts.  Medical Insurance was something they did not have.

This fundraiser is  set-up to help with Medical expenses. Unfortunately, the road that has been paved  is going to be an incredibly difficult time for Shannon and family as they have many challenges in front of them.

I encourage anyone who is capable of giving a monetary value  to please do so by opening your hearts and help ease the financial burden for my brother's family.  If for any reason you are not able to give financially I ask that you lift my brother's family (Shannon, Heather, Andrew (Andrea), James) and the rest of the family in prayer.

Grateful for what you can offer,
Jimie
