Tashi Delek!

In a few days, around 70 - largely younger - Tibetans will come together in Dharamsala to discuss the future of Tibet.

A collective of dedicated individuals has come together, forming a diverse core group that mirrors our rich Tibetan community in exile. This group embarked on a journey of deep reflection, jointly exploring the challenging question that lies at the heart of our collective destiny. The challenge was to find new perspectives and new approaches for an issue that weighs heavily on the Tibetan souls.

Our Purpose: "The Future of Tibet" was born out of a collective commitment to strengthen the Tibetan Freedom Movement. The initiative is championed by a dedicated core group, representing the diversity of the Tibetan diaspora, and those who have lived in India, Europe, and North America. Together, we share the experiences of being part of the Tibetan youth movement and have served in various capacities within the Tibetan government in exile. Bay Area Friends of Tibet has partnered with us to support this important undertaking.

Diverse Voices, Common Goals: We organisers may not all share the same political convictions, but we firmly believe in the power of unity and the value of open and truthful dialogue. We understand that, in the face of global and political changes, the Tibetan Freedom Movement must adapt and evolve to navigate its future course.

Our Journey: "The Future of Tibet" began its journey in 2020. Wangpo Tethong, now residing in Amsterdam, and Tashi Namgyal, based in Seattle, both having been active members of the Tibetan youth movement in their formative years, found themselves contemplating a profound question: What does the future hold for the Tibetan people when His Holiness the Dalai Lama is no longer among us? In November 2022, we organized a successful European conference in Paris, France and in New York bringing together voices from across the world to discuss the future of Tibet. Our next conference is scheduled to take place in Dharamshala, India, in November 2023.

Support "The Future of Tibet": To further our mission and ensure the Tibetan cause remains relevant and impactful, we need your support. Your generous contributions will help us the final event in India and close the gap in our budget.

Join us in shaping "The Future of Tibet" and ensuring a brighter future for Tibetans. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a free and prosperous Tibet.

Donate today to support this initiative. Your contributions will be a contribution for the future for Tibet and its people. Thank you for your support!
