On November 13th 2016 at 11pm my mother Sharae McMinn was pulled over on a dangerous stretch of highway for a tail light being out. The tulsa police officer asked her to step out of her vehicle. Moments later the police vehicle was stuck by a truck hauling a trailer slamming the police vehicle into her pinning her between her car and the police vehicle. The man driving the truck fleed the scene but was later found and charged.
She was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a shattered pelvis, and multiple leg fractures.
She currently has the back of her knee stapled shut and will need surgery.
As far as we know she does have medical insurance but that does not cover the cost of living.
It will be a long and painful recovery with surgeries and psysical therapy leaving her without work or a way to make ends meet.
I have started this campaign to help her keep her apartment and afford to eat and live while recovering.
Anything and everything helps, even if its just a prayer.
