Heartbreaking tragedy has befallen the sweet family of Regine and Sonia Tyler this Christmas.

Funeral Service Update:

-The funeral service for Randy and Jason Tyler will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 1:00pm in the sanctuary of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, 1660 N. Decatur Rd, Atlanta.

-Handicap Parking can be found in designated spots around the sanctuary building. For all others, parking can be found at the Glenn Youth & Activities Building, 1669 N. Decatur Rd, or the Emory Fishburne Parking Deck, 1672 N. Decatur Rd.

-The services will also be streamed live on the Glenn Memorial UMC Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.

In the early hours of Christmas morning, while everyone slept, a fire engulfed and destroyed the Tyler family home. Tragically, the fire has claimed the lives of Randy Tyler, Regine's husband and Sonia's father, and Jason Tyler, Regine's son and Sonia's brother. Also, both Regine and her grandson, Sonia's 10-year-old son, were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Further, the fire has left the family with few, if any, possessions that might be recovered, a complete loss. We can be grateful that Sonia, her 8-year-old daughter, and visiting cousins escaped physical harm.

This family needs the support of their community, their friends, and their family, to satisfy their emergent needs and to rebuild their life. Come together here to share your support and express your love for the Tyler family. Your monetary support is needed immediately for the necessities of everyday life, the impending funeral expenses for Randy and Jason, and finding a new home where the family will live. Further, the family will face hospital expenses, the costs of starting up, furnishing, and equipping a new home, and certainly other expenses related to their recovery from this disastrous event.
