UPDATE: 4-27-2023
Shari passed yesterday morning. It’s impossible to imagine life without her radiant love that enveloped everyone who came into her life. She was brilliant, beautiful and her kindness knew no bounds. She made life a crazy fun adventure. She truly lived every day
We still need to bring Shari home. Her airplane hospital we were planning is no longer needed. She will be transported via plane. We are planning on using these funds for her final journey of getting her back to Utah from Texas as well as her funeral and medical expenses. This is such a heartbreaking time. Being able to take care of these expenses is a huge blessing to Josh and the kids. Thank you.
Once we know the logistics of Shari coming home we will update everyone for her services.
Shari Quai and her husband Josh are the parents of 3 children, ages 15, 7 and 5. Shari is 40 years old and has battled colorectal cancer for 5 years. She is a loving mother and wife and works as a CRNA in health care and has always given her time to help others.
Last week she flew from Salt Lake to San Antonio Texas to enroll in an upcoming cancer trial that matches her unique mutation- KRASG12D.
As she was returning home she experienced a medical emergency related to this cancer and she was rushed to an ICU unit in San Antonio. Her condition worsened and the difficult decision to put her on life support was made- she's now on a ventilator.
Her husband Josh and her father, Mike Linn flew to San Antonio and are with her. Once she is stabilized her doctors and her family would like to move her back to Utah. This can be done using medical flight transport. We need to raise $60,000 for her transportation.
We are so grateful for the support she has received these past years from so many. The number of people who love Shari and the outpouring of love and support is humbling. Thank you!
