Sharing the load with Rachael Leah Jackson

Let us hold your hand Rachael.

Hey community. As you you know your Northern Beaches Citizen of the Year 2023, was unfortunately diagnosed with an aggressive tumour in her leg, although undetermined if it is cancerous at this stage.

Rachael will be going to RPA Hospital on 19th February.

She is a single mother of 3 and has no family in Australia.

Rachael is always helping others, and gives so much of her time to her community. She still aims to organise events and help because that’s what she does best, but right now she needs our help.

Unfortunately, after her diagnosis she was given notice to move house. This is stressful, she will need time to recuperate and heal. The Northern Beaches is her home and where she feels safe and connected.

Rachael will need support in the upcoming weeks with meals and Ubers to get to her after care appointments, and moving costs.

I have known Rachael for 27 years. She has always lived in this area and is committed to remaining here to continue to help her community. I think we can all agree this girl needs a break. I hope somebody in England can come up with a plan so she can get home to see her mum after many years apart.

Rachael has spent many years in a state of survival, any love and support we can offer her during this time, not only will bless her but allow Rachael to continue to love and support her community.

I believe with Faith, Love and compassion, we together can hold our sisters hand during this time.

The love and support from the Northern Beaches Community, and England will mean the world to Rachael.
